    • I am an openly bisexual, Buddhist, vegetarian vet school drop out who now trains horses and gives riding lessons for a living in the arctic tundra of Northern Wisconsin. It is not an ideal profession for the particular environment I'm in as I'm sure you can imagine. I split my time between there and my home in the mountains of North Carolina. I am working on moving to North Carolina permanently.

I am currently owned by 2 Egyptian Arabians, 1 Polish Arabian, 1 Spanish Arabian, and 2 National Show Horses (Saddlebred/Arabs). I also live with a 100 pound German Wirehair Pointer named NTC Mr. Richard Tracer, a 10 pound Shichon named Tenchie Nobuyuki, and a Griffon/Pug mix named Gazuchen (Ghazi for short). I have an English Setter named Penny Lu who lives with my brother and visits frequently, as well as 2 long hair cats named Hera Banera and Calvin Klein, and 2 short hair twins named Shiva and Mr. Boots. Most of my animals have been rescued/rehabilitated except 2 of my horses.

I put some of my photography up here as well for others to view. I'm in the process of publishing a poetry book with some of my photographs. I'm mostly doing it because I need something to do in the winter time, but I'll post an update on here as a blog or something for others to check that out in the future.

So that's pretty much me on a daily basis. The rest of the info on here can fill in some of those big dark holes in the above statement, as well as my writing (obviously). Questions? Feel free to ask. Cares? Might be interesting. Concerns? I don't care, so don't even bother.

        • Honestly I don't read that much...sometimes I feel guilty for it. I have astigmatism and some other stuff that makes it hard to read though, by the time I concentrate on the reading I forget what I already read :)

I can only read NON FICTION. I have no idea why, can't stand fiction and fantasy. It must be that doctor side of my brain coming out...

          Jon Katz
          Books about training horses

Alone In Alaska's Wilderness by Heimo Korth

        • Anything with Audrey Hepburn in it especially Breakfast at Tiffany's and Sabrina
Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan, Selma Hayek

        • I like everything but particularly enjoy the song writings of Darren Hayes, Keith Urban, Jewel and Harry Connick, Jr

        • House~ I love Dr. Gregory House, we're both equally obnoxious with sarcasm. I'd like to think I'm more compassionate though but I'm not sure if that's true just with animals, or what.

MASH, Star Trek, and occassionally even Family Guy

        • Charlie Brown & the Peanuts Gang

        • Dylan Thomas I thoroughly enjoyed reading some of his collections though it's been a while...other than that probably my friend Tricia's prose. She's amazing, I love her expressions...maybe I should convince her to join this site hmm...

Other than that like I said before I have trouble reading and audio books make me fall asleep...

        • Uhh do magazines count?

          NSH Quarterly
          Arabian Horse Times
          Practical Horseman
          Yoga Journal
Shape, Self, girly mags other than cosmo

And a bunch of snowmobile/atv magazines you've probably never heard of...

        • My mother, she is my backbone when I need someone to fall back on.

Monty, my significant other and famous trainer of horses (including one of mine) who died way too soon, the only man who has ever truly inspired me and inspires much of my current writings. Chanel & I remember you always in our souls, minds, and daily activities. He was a true selfless man of enlightenment or "Buddha" often times at his own expense. More people should be like that, now I strive the extra mile to be since he's opened my eyes a little more.

My partially blind National Show Horse, NTC's My Chanel. She teaches me how to love and how to trust both humans and horses alike. :) And she and Monty reminded me every day that sometimes it's okay to "Be a lady" even if others call you a bitch, there's usually a good reason for it...if only to you.

Audrey Hepburn ~Another true selfless individual often at her own expense.

Any of my animal friends of the past present and future who inspire me on a daily basis and remind me each day that who I am is important in this world.

        • "Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden , where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace."
          ~ Milan Kundera

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

"You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection."

Holly Golightly: I'll tell you one thing, Fred, darling... I'd marry you for your money in a minute. Would you marry me for my money?
          Paul Varjak: In a minute.
Holly Golightly: I guess it's pretty lucky neither of us is rich, huh?

"I'm happy when you're here. That's all that matters. I love you; I'll work it out in my own mind, we just have to take it day by day. I'll see you soon, goodnight my dear."
          ~Monty's last words to me.

Live fast and die doing something that you love.
          ~ Me

          ~Holly Golightly

"She's not mean or needy, she's a lady. Treat her like one, even if you gotta boot her one every once in a while."
          ~Monty Wallen, my "significant other"

"You musn't give your heart to a wild thing. The more you do, the stronger they get, until they're strong enough to run into the woods or fly into a tree. And then to a higher tree and then to the sky."
          ~Holly Golightly
