Just reading your 'about me'...I worked in a shipyard in my 20's and was designing a houseboat to live on. Then life happened. What a lovely life you seem to have! Now I live near an enormous lake that hugs the foot of the Sierra in Northern California, with a large houseboat community. You never know where life will take you...

Wow, I just read your bio here and you are an amazing woman, cancer survivor alone speaks of your strength and determination, and I had a teacher that lived on a Chineese Junkship and always thought that was cool.
I have a small dog, she's about 5 1/2 months old, part Terrier, part Pug and all the attitude of a Doberman.
I am honored to be one of your friends.

Hi Janie, it's so much writing out there. I have to stop and read some work with such quality, sentiment, meaning, and insight. Thus I stopped here, it shall take me a while to read all your works, but I will and I shall learn from it I know. I just know it. Keep writing! and congrats on your success in both life and writing!

Hi, caught your message to Starpoet regarding your ratings being changed. I've noticed, too, that I'm not being rated at all, and some are way lower than the comments would suggest. That's an awful thing--but there's always someone out there (cyber-cowards) who is going to try to ruin things. Don't take it to heart--try not to hear the 'discouraging words' as creativity is a gift. Do you ever read something you wrote--strings of words you have made into beauty-with rhyme and cadence, and wonder "damn--how did that happen?"
Well, that inspiration is not given to everyone! Hang in there! Merry Christmas, Michele.
