Hello- I'd love some advice on the topic of protecting one's creative ideas and content, not just on-line but in the literary field generally. I live in New York and am just beginning to take workshops and stage readings here (I'm an aspiring playwright and screenwriter). I'll also be attending my first semester as a student in an MFA writing program in the fall, and I am worried about how to share my work and ideas in all of these environments without endangering my unique access to them as creative property. I know that I need to share work in order to develop it, to grow as a writer, and to expose it to the creative community in hopes of furthering my career. I want to get as much feedback and challenging criticism as possible and to learn from fellow writers as well. How do things work best when one is starting out? I don't want to be overly protective but the competitive nature of the writers around me sometimes makes me worry. Best, Anna B.

Is there a price for what you do? And how does one get in touch with you? I'm a writer who has written quite a few feature length screenplays.
