    • I am one of those people who wears many faces in life. I am a mother, daugter, friend, and a harder worker. At least that is how the world sees me. In truth deep inside my soul I am a person who only feels whole when she is writing. My mother discovered that writing was an outstanding tool to use to calm me down as well as buy her ten minutes of peace when I was about seven. From there it took off to become my best friend. When I was sad, excited, or felt alone writing my poetry and in my journal was as if I were turning to an old friend. That has carried over into adulthood and to the point I am at now in my life.

At 35 I decided that if this is what I want to make a career out of as I had dreamed then I needed to jump on it before I got beaten down by my own doubts and fears in life. My children are getting older and I so want to show them that even at the age I am that it isn't too late to work towards that dream in life. You just have to work hard as well as never give up on yourself. The only way I know to do that is by example. So here I am.

My favortive form of writing is Horror (Stephen King is my hero!) but I do feel comfortable writing in other gene such as true story, thillers, poetry, and drama. I don't know much about romance or sci-fi so I would say that for now they are areas I am still nervous about but that could change in time.

        • Stephen King: The Dark Half, The Shining, The Stand, Cell, Lisey's Story, The Green Miles Series, Carrie, Christine, Cojo, Needful Things, Shawshank Redemption, and pretty much anything else he wrote.
The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe
          Sex In The City
          Anne Rice
          Anne Rule
          Dean Koontz
          The Diary of Ann Frank
Midnight In The Garden of Good annd Evil
and so many more that I can't name them all.

        • City of Angels, Sex In The City, All The Highlander Movies (except two), The Sixth Sense, The Villege, When A Stranger Calls, The Passions of The Christ, Time Cop, Road House, The Orphan, The Knowing, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Fresh Horses, The Breakfast Club, Rosemary's Baby, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, Keeping Up With The Steins, The Hours, Prime, Nightmare on Elm Street, Waiting To Exhale, Body Guard.

        • Pretty much all 80's music, Country, R&B, Jazz, New Age. Anything that has a good beat and has a good story behind it.

        • All of the CSI shows,Law and Order:SVU, Hell's Kitchen, The local news, 48 hours, Maclom In The Middle, The George Lopaz Show, I Love Lucy, and Highlander the series

        • I enjoyed a few of the graphic novels by Stephen King. Not sure if that counts.

        • Edgar Allen Poe

        • The Macon Telegraph, The Atlanta Journal, USA Today &The New York Times

        • Blogit

          Writer's Cafe

        • My heroes are as follows in no set order...My mother who for the most part had the job of being both mother and father for me, My boss Alice P. for facing things that I could never face and still move forward in the world with the grace of a "Southern Lady", Both my grandmothers for doing what they had to do for their family, my children for enduring and loving a crazy mom like me, and my friend Dawn K. who shows by example everyday how to stand tall regardless of what one might have to face with a smile.

        • Bitterness is like drinking poison and waiting for your enemy to die.

        • I have signed up to meet the write a novel in Novel challenge. It will be the first novel I have ever written and I am a bit nervous about it.

        • I enjoy reading, photography, cooking, music, biking, swimming, soccers, basketball sitting back and laughing with my friends, and trying new things I wouldn't normally try.

        • Still working on it to date.
