I just finished up this part memoir/part writing guide and I have to say I was bowled over. I've read King since I was young enough to be looked at strangely to be seen with one of his books. This voice in this book is frank and exceedingly honest in my opinion. It read like a love letter to his craft, his mother and his wife. Very knowledgable and at times painfully blunt. I think I regret never being able to have had Mr King as a creative writing professor.

I was just wondering if anyone else had read the work and if they perhaps did the writing assignment in it.

What did you think of the work?

IT was my favorite of all his books and stories. He is a brilliant mind!

Oh the book is brilliant, and it gave such a different perspective on the man. It made him human after personally viewing him as this unattainable literacy god of terror for pretty much most of my childhood.

Brilliant mind indeed! And to think a moron in a van almost silenced him forever.
