There are three options if you are cutting and pasting.

Paste (CTRL +V) allows you to retain the formatting from the document you are importing from. This works best if you are pasting from material written inside this text box.

Paste as Plain text will remove all special formatting and unusual characters. This is the best choice for pasting in your material.
