    • I am an English born, part Gypsy. I emmigrated to Australia when I was two, and that was so I could go on to New Zealand. So I'm basically kiwi (a New Zealander). I'm married and have a beautiful 4 year old son, who is such a handful! When he was in my tummy I suddenly had the urge to write and haven't stopped since. So really, he's been my biggest inspiration.

      The boy is basically the boss of the house, followed closely by the cat.

      I've had some positive feedback from publishers about two novels, not enough to get published but I'm getting closer!

        • As a teen I read Isabelle Allende - I liked how she shocked me! Now it's the inimitable Anne Rice. I was raised on science fiction and fantasy but stayed away from it for many years - possibly as a form of rebellion against my father, who introduced me to it. I've recently returned to reading sci fi though, I have so much to catch up on!

        • It's weird but I have this thing for zombie movies. I don't know what it is, perhaps it's that I can imagine what it would be like if aombies were real.

        • Baens Universe has an awesome writing forum, though quite . . . shall we say honest, but with invaluable feedback. The Editors of the online magazine actuall comment on stories posted.

        • My mum - now that I've got a nearly-five-year-old, I honestly don't know how she coped so well with two girls having just one year between them.

        • I won the New Zealand Poetry Society's International Haiku Competition this year - much to my surprise!
