    • I was born in 1963 in Jamaica but grew up in Canada since the age of seven. In 1980, at 17 and right out of high school, I joined the Canadian Armed Forces and spent the first five years in the Artillery then re-mustered to the Armoured Corps for another five. After the military I moved to Northern Ontario.

Fast forwarded to 1996 when we moved to Ottawa. This is where I began to write my first real book, Death's Door - Where Right and Glory Lead. I have always enjoyed reading science fiction so it was only natural that I developed an interest in writing sci-fi. I have now branched out from just science fiction to also include Essay and Fictional Shorts.

While writing is my passion, I also scuba dive and have a day job to pay the bills. That, and trying to keep up with my two very active kids.

I maintain my own modest web site at http://www.williamdesouza.ca and always look forward to feedback from you.

        • "Humanity is not ready to face its future and afraid to face its past - We are doomed to abject failure. Pity really...." by William DeSouza - (c) March 2009

"The present is shaped by our past and the future is shaped by our present. Humanity strives for what is to come, but we forget what has gone. Shall we never attain peace in our journey? Are we doomed to wonder the cosmos on this blue ball without ever knowing our true nature? What direction we take is up to us to decide; and we must choose well for that path is froth with danger and excitement both." by William DeSouza - (c) March 2009

"Once you're dead - the past is all you had. So better make sure it’s a good one. Folks remember you from your past, not your future." by William DeSouza - (c) 2004 from a line in the story My Time Remembered
