I'm a bootleg writer. Not a "real" writer. I suppose I'm a good human being, and that's mostly what I ask for from my friends. I detest arrogance, which differs from high self-confidence. I write most from my life experiences, which include many wrong paths, but I also have experienced some heart warming things I write about. I like people who have a little low self-esteem. I know that's odd, but they seem to have a greater feel for life, and are more compassionate. I also value intelligence , people who laugh, and make me laugh, self dignity, and people who have a style of their own.
I have absolutely no illusions about becoming a writer, for one thing I have a terminal cancer(Pancreatic) or as it's now known, " The Patrick Swayze" cancer...who unfortunately I think will fade away before the end of the year...soooooooooo, no long novels for me. :)
I love life, and I'm not afraid of dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens. (borrowed)
I also have this love/hate affair with people. I love them and need them, but some can be a pain.
I hardly ever get angry, except when I see mass injustice, as what's going on in Darfur, Africa.
After a quite sordid beginning to this journey, I've found out that friendliness, and kindness trump almost all other human qualities, especially intelligence. I admire people who are not bitter. I love to laugh, and am very self-effacing. I'm not real smart, but have found that accepting that puts me ahead of many who refuse to see their flaws. I guess that's kind of me. I hope we become good friends. Love Rain/Ray
