Being an author, mother, wife and entrepreneur has its challenges. I have written articles for various periodic publications, and am creator and editor-in-chief of the Beta Chapter Newsletter, published bi-monthly. I have also participated in Gamma Gamma Chi Sorority, Inc.’s national writing competition, winning third place. Finally, I have mentored university students on writing.
Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Arabic Studies at National University. My diverse experiences from childhood and during my adult years often are the inspiration for my work. Born and raised in Maryland, which remains dear to me, you will find many of my backdrops reminiscent of childhood times past. My current work in progress deals with coming of age – both chronologically and spiritually. My focus over the last year has been on putting self first, getting down to business with my writing, and continuing my mentoring.
In addition to my love for writing, I have a love for travel. I have visited St. Lucia, Aruba, Curacao, St. Martin, Mexico, and a few other islands.
