    • Right now I am a wanna-be writer, not because I can't write but because I don't have enough time to invest in it. Basically all I've been doing for the past year is jotting down story ideas on notepads so that in the distant future when I have time I won't have to struggle for topics. Other than that I blog. Ugh. I don't like to use the words "blog" or "blogging" because those are things that literally anyone can do. I would like to think that anyone half way serious about writing would discourage anyone from calling them a "blogger". Like calling someone who is a serious marathoner a "jogger". But I digress, I am a blogger but someday I hope to graduate to a more evolved form of life. (I might or might not be drinking right now).

Anyway, I take my blogging fairly seriously. Granted, I don't have time to be an outstanding blogger, but I'll come up with a topic that is half-way serious or humorous and write on it for an hour. Then I'll spend two hours editing and re-writing it. So far this has only been for the amusement of what few friends I have, but I like to think of it as practice for something better. In that spirit I'm going to post them here as well in the hopes that I can get feedback, constructive criticism, or maybe even a message from Stephen King telling me to keep my day job.

        • Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Orson Wells, Bram Stoker, Mary Shelly, Lee Child, Dan Brown, Jeffrey Deaver, Robert Ludlum, Robert Crais, Carl Hiaasen, etc, etc, etc. I could go on for a while, but suffice it to say that there are few author's I've read that I wouldn't read again.

        • I'm too drunk to tell you right now, call back later.

        • Anything with heavy guitars playing quickly and with skill. Most of those songs don't have very profound lyrics. Maybe you could make an argument for Nine Inch Nails, but you'd have to get too deep into criminal psychology to get anything out of it.

        • For some strange reason I'm addicted to "Moonlight". I'm really not sure why.

        • Bone, Calving and Hobbs

        • I have an extensive collection of poetry, though I haven't been reading any lately. My absolute favorite though is William Carlos Williams.

        • The Onion.

        • Strangely enough I like to run. I just completed my first 15k, the farthest I've ever run in my life. The Gate River City Run. My goal is to work my way up to marathons. Everything else on this website probably meshes together fairly well. There I go, throwing a wrench into the works again.

I have a friend that does that, he has pages and pages written down in about ten or more notebooks, things like other worlds, maps characters and plot lines...but he has not put it together yet, and I keep telling him, "It's YOUR story, do you want someone else to tell it?" and so if I may pass that on to you in a good way, I like your style and your humor and hope to see more.
