    • Still don't have any real idea of what I am supposed to say or do here, so...a little about me.
I have five books and one poem published, and another book being considered as we speak. I love scaring people as well as making them laugh, Vampires, werewolves (THERE wolf!) witches and things like that, as well as the human monster that lives next door and looks just like everone else.
I write about things I lived through, things I feel and the stuff that just seems to come to me.
I have lived in this area most of my life and my interests include writing and music, I have been playing drums since I was ten, and writing for about 5 years as a novelist and 15 years as a poet. I love writing about what makes people do what we do. Family life and how they pull together in conflict. Great loss and deep hurt. I am also a former professional photographer that loves still life.
At this time I am concluding final negotiations about a graphic version of "Monkey on His Back" that I hope will open a lot of new doors for me.

        • My favorite book is "The Stand" by Stephen King, and my favorite author is Edgar A Poe, I love how he uses the psychological aspects of terror to write and get his point across.
I also love the work of John Lennon and the poetry of Jim Morrison.

        • My favorite movies are many and varied, I loved "Tombstone" and movies that make you think or see things in a different light, such as "Juno" and "Under the Same Moon" more of my favorites: "Heat" "Full Metal Jacket" and "Platoon" but there isn't enough time or space to list them all, I'd have to start at the classics and talk about movies like "The Night is a Lonely Hunter" and guys like Robert Mitchum.

        • I grew up in the 60's, and still listen to the same music I did in high school. The music of Jimi Hendrix changed my life. The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd. The classics.

        • I used to religiously watch the "CSI" shows and "NCIS" is still a favorite, and of course, "24" and "Criminal Minds" as well as "Numbers" but I get bored with television and the commercials they bombard us with.

        • Edgar A Poe, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and Jim Morrison

        • God

        • Sometimes women are just little girls in grown up clothes

        • I have lived a mostly happy life, tried to do everything and try everything and if it tasted good then I tried it more than once. I have regrets of course, but I knew I was only going to get one chance in this world and grew up when the popular songs were about "loving the one your with" and so I did.
I have four kids of my own, all grown, and as of this writing, three awesome grandkids and wish I could take them all everywhere I go and see if they see the same things as I do, get thier persepctive and understand it better.
          Make sense?

To all of my friends; I am sorry that I have not been around much; for one thing I forgot my password and had a hard time getting in after that, even with Lindsay's help. But other things too; John Lennon said that "Life is what happens when we make other plans!" and he was so right. I am internet challenged for the moment but will solve that dilemna soon and be back online, everyone have a great weekend and keep on writing cause it's your story after all!

Everyone here has been cool to me, made me feel welcome and didn't laugh at my work, a big plus in my book. I LOVED "the Shinning" and the movie was almost as good, it followed the story line anyway. I have always loved "the Stand" "Carrie" and "Ghost Story" and have read them several times over the years.

Your welcome, I think and have not been proven wrong, that there are A LOT of good people here, and some of them have found their way to me, that makes me lucky or fortunate, not sure what the difference is but there IS a difference...a slight too much foot pounds per square inch and...(sorry, was thinking of Jack in "the Shinning"<---the part where he describes how he broke his son's arm).
